SEASONAL MAINTENANCE

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

 

Under general supervision, performs unskilled and limited semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of County buildings and grounds.  Reports to Grounds Field Supervisor.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

 

Mows and trims grass with power mowers and string trimmers; sows fertilizer and grass seed; prunes shrubbery; rakes leaves; edges curbs and walkways; weeds flower beds; picks up debris and deposits in proper receptacle, as needed.  Places mulch and/or pine needles and other landscaping materials as needed.  Responsible for entry level and minor grounds tasks as directed by the supervisor and/or team leader.

 

Should be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions such as heat, cold, and rain, as needed.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

 

Any other related work as assigned to the Facility Services Department.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

Must be at least 16 years of age to apply.
